As Dee Snider leads the crowd sing along of “We’re Not Gonna Take It” the fourth and final day of the third annual Rocklahoma in Pryor, Oklahoma comes to a close.

It is always more fun when you participate and festival shooting is one of the greatest photographic journeys I have had the pleasure to participate in. Twelve + hour days of shooting, a few more hours of cleaning and prepping gear and media each day, networking with fellow media, artists, artist management, new shooting challenges with each passing hour, and of course the year after year of familiar and smiling smiling faces of people I see but a few times a year, and am proud to call friends. Shout outs are deserved to my co-pilot Cory of Wyldside Radio, Rob Miller and staff of the festivals event marketing team, Aaron/Eve of the Garden of Evil, Lisa/Jamie Miller from jrmpix, Amber, Jay West, Dennis Liddell, 2/3 of the Angels, Brian and Mark from Rockeyez, Sean and the rest of the festival security team (bravo again!), the excellent staff and friends @ the Microtel Claremore, and most importantly festival promoters, artists, artist management, and the fans that demonstrate music is still alive and very relevant to our society and our souls.

Allen,
Once again I enjoyed all your photos from Rocklahoma. Some of the best I’ve seen. Period.
Thanks for the shout out. It’s been cool emailing back and forth throughout the year since last Rocklahoma and it was great to meet up again this year. Your photo tips have helped me more than you can imagine and I appreciate it. Hopefully we’ll all meet up again next year!
Talk soon,
Mark
