Killswitch Engage hits the mainstage at Mayhem Fest 2009 to the always enthusiastic and engaged crowd. I first had the pleasure of shooting this band live on the Music As Weapon tour and have been anxiously awaiting their Mayhem Fest 2009 performance. KSE did not disappoint.
Killswitch Engage has a very active stage show coupled with a crowd engaging performance that always results in a fantastic band to shoot – particularly with their full on stage production including liberal pyro use throughout the set. Even with the standard 3 song restrictions – the set is full of classic rockstar poses and mugging for the camera which really gets my head in the “zone”. Again, the Nikon D700′s paired with the Nikon 14-24 and 24-70 2.8 lenses where absolutely ideal for the set and shooting pit.
