Chris - it was a pleasure to meet you as well as shoot your performance. I like to cheat in that room with a tad bit of off camera flash as stage lighting is just killer and with the smoke flowing from the drum riser...but there is very limited front lighting. With the new Nikon FX line - I'm more than confortable moving into 6400ISO+ land, but I get concerned with performer/stage contrast. Worked out pretty well this night. Tough room to shoot being a full crowd all at the same level. I found it interesting all the photogs running to the small spot of high ground in the back of the venue ;-).

Some good shoots of you as well! Though I admit, one of my regrets was stepping out of the room to grab some water - looking through the glass and seeing you up on the riser just wailing at the end of the set in an explosion of wonderfully backlit smoke!

We were lucky enough to be the opening act at this show. By the way, great shots. My "day job" is as a photographer. (See http://www.concertshots.com for evidence.)

I'd love to see what you got of us, obviously. I will admit, you beat me with King's X. I photo'd them, too, but I think you've beat me hands down. My shots and review should be up next week.

Best, man!

Great to meet you and hope to see your pics of us one of these days.

Take care,

Allen,
Great shots. I was just to the left of Dug, down in front, next to the stage. I probably bumped into you. Great Show, as they always deliver, my 12th time seeing them.
Coolness all around. Great work and congrats on a great site. Keep up the great work.
