Insight from one my heroes – Ross Halfin

Ross Halfin, The Master

“I’m not shooting bands, which I’m kind of fed up with – too much trouble to do the most simple thing and no one appreciates if you do a good job.”“People still write to me asking about a career in rock photography. In this day and age I seriously wouldn’t recommend it unless you have another source of income. When I haven’t shot a group or tour for a while I enjoy it but after a while it becomes tedious, like any job. I looked at Wireimage which I found truly depressing, it has no respect for photography, the live photos are disposable. ”

What do you recommend Mr. Halfin?
