Blues Traveler brings the devil down to Georgia for a night of bluesy rock in the ATL.
Led by the vocal and harmonica riffs of frontman John Popper, Blues Traveler delivered a 90+ minute set starting and ending with the southern classic “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” … looking for some light to steal ;-).
Lighting challenges aside, perennial blues jam masters Blues Traveler delivered and impressive set that spanned their 20+ year career while throwing in a few of their hits for good measure.

For the headliner Blues Traveler, lighting was even more subdued and less colorful and contrasty than for the opener. While it fit the mood of the performance, it further challenged shooting beyond 6400 ISO and lowered the shutter by another half stop to capture the ambiant while still packing it in with the fans on the floor. Subject isolation was challenging as well given the stage configuration. The limited front lighting, sans follow spots, was largely focused downward on frontman John Popper as shown in the full band photo.
