The Bomshel duo of rising country stars Kristy Osmunson and Kelley Shepard delivered a live Atlanta performance with contagious energy and leaving no doubt to commercial viability of the act.
Fiddler Kristy Osmunson and vocalist Kelley Shepard delivered shared lead, backing and duet vocal arrangements throughout the 90+ minute set while performing a wide variety of original material ranging from contemporary country ballads, straight up southern rock inspired singles, and crowd sing along anthems. As an added bonus, the band put their own twist on the geographically appropriate “Devil Went Down to Georgia” by Charlie Daniels and No Doubt’s “Just A Girl”.

In shooting notes, lighting was glorious, dare I say the “bom”. The venue offers the best stage, sound, and light production of 5000+ seat venues on Atlanta. Much like that for the opening act, the lighting hit the sweet spot of the Nikon D700 system and was coupled with dual follow spots on the duo. Exposures fell at ISO 800-3200 @ F2.8 – 4.0. Again the Nikon 24-70 and 70-200 2.8 pulled shared lens duty. The fixed pit open to the crowd and meant getting close to the fans, remaining unobtrusive and waiting in relatively fixed positions for the shots.
