Muse kicked off their North American Tour in Atlanta bringing a sound, lighting, performance, and stage spectacle commensurate with their present status of the biggest band in the world.
The sold out crowd was treating to a flawless performance, sound, and lighting execution upon one of the more unique stages I’ve seen in some time. I am at a loss for words to give the tour justice other than to declare it a must see/must shoot show. Bravo.

Shooting conditions where the first 3 from the soundboard with liberal movement allowed anywhere behind the front railing on either side and behind the sound/video crew. The restriction was reasonable given the stage spectacle with the band high in the air during to the first two on the platforms and coming down for the third. Shot with the D700 pair with 70-200 2.8 and 24-70 2.8 mounted. A 400 2.8 would have been perfect for isolated artist shots though not handheld as I learned at Clapton. Given the lenses at hand, I treated the columns like performers and am quite happy with the results.
