Alternative heavy rock unit Dangerous New Machine features former Stereomud Vocalist Erik Rogers, former Fozzy and Sick Speed Guitarist Billy Grey, former Stuck Mojo and Outshine drummer Rodney Beaubouef, and bassist Randy Reider.
I spent a day with the group in both studio and location shooting for their upcoming release. And so the adventure began in a quite suburban community and escalated with intensity as we moved to some rather “super” location shooting including suspicious urban outdoorsman, pit bulls, a bit of forestry, urban spelunking, and barbed wire – your standard rock and roll location shoot.
Rockstars and consumate professionals, the group was a total pleasure to both collaborate and work with.

Studio shooting involved (3) Nikon SB-800 speedlights tripped by Radio Popper JRx studios. Location shooting was a single Nikon SB-800 in a Westcott Apollo 42″ collapsible silver umbrella also triggered by Radio Popper. Camera duties of course, fell to the Nikon D700 and Nikon 24-70 2.8.
