Hank WIlliams Jr brings his Rowdy Friends to town delivering a set of the artists signature songs, mixed with sing along classics, and homage of influences throughout his musical career.
As Hank Williams Jr. stated during his performance – “I play what I want, where I want, and with who I want†. Thankfully then, it was a pleasure to have his spring 2010 Rowdy Friends tour make a stop in Georgia at the Gwinnett Arena.
Through his songwriting style and onstage delivery, the artist has a way of making an arena performance feel like a stage front table at your local watering hole. Performing for thousands, yet connecting with each fan on a direct and individual level.

Shooting for the set was standard country rules – songs 2 and 3. Lighting treatment for the artist was grand with numerous follow spots on the artist proper. Hank’s lighting fell from ISO400 – ISO3200 @ F3.2-F5.6. Lighting quickly fell off on the band who performed largely in the ambient hues at ISO6400+. A bit of a shame as bassist Michelle Poe was up for some camera mugging. Hank was shot largely house right due to his mike placement, clean pit positioning, and tendency to stay within a few feet directly behind his mike during the allotted shooting time of around 7 mins.
