70′s British Glam Rockers The Sweet are arguably one of the most influential groups to modern rock and pop music. Their unique blend of Hard Rock and Pop has inspired literally hundreds of commercially successful acts.
“Little Willy”, “Ballroom Blitz”, “Action”, “Love is like Oxygen”, “Wig Wam Bam”, “Fox On The Run”, and “Hell Raiser”, represent but a fraction of the bands classic catalog of hits which are genre appropriate and well received on the main stage by the Rock N America crowd.

Shooting Notes:
The three song lafternoon set was effectively shot in the sauna of the late afternoon sun and humidity. Exposures fell about 1/1000 F2.8 ISO 400. The bright sun of this set made even the viewfinder challenging and the focus points of the Nikon D700′s moved purely by memory of their positions. Overall a real treat to shoot such an influential act. One of the real surprises of the festival.

Great shots Allen! Can’t wait to see more from the RnA show. Hey, the drummer in shot #3 from above kinda looks like a real-life version of Peter Griffin from The Family Guy! LOL
This is not Sweet. Where’s Andy ?
Jorgen -
Thank you for the note. As with a lot of classic acts death, illness, and longstanding creative differences still result in variants of the band. My understanding is that there is both a US version of The Sweet with Steve Priest and a UK version of The Sweet with Andy Scott. Still a treat to see the music performed live in various incarnations of the still living members.

Jorgen, get your facts straight. Andy Scott has been sending his band out with substitute guitarists and yet still using the name Sweet–in all fairness, due to ongoing health issues–but STILL! At least Steve’s version has an original member (and bear in mind, Andy was the third guitarist hired, NOT an original member, albeit that he was the one who played on all the band’s hits). Steve’s Sweet is a hell of a lot more “Sweet” than Andy’s band going out without him! Not to mention that they kick the tar out of Andy’s band musically speaking.
I think Maureen you need to get your twisted facts straight I am fed up with stupid remarks been spouted by you, our your spouse. He is not the Sweet and neither are the other pretenders that Steve plays with. Sweet were not from the USA you are a bunch of Americans who sound American pretending you are “are Back” Back from where.when you first announced that steve was forming a band you decided to pretend there had been a reformation. Let me tell you need more than one member for it to be a reformation. Steve should be disgusted with himself he has sunk so low that he plays with the greatest pretender of all Stuart Smith. Please mark my words Stuart will usurp Steve and start using the name Sweet with out Steve been there.
AS far as the sound of Steve’s band are concerned sound wise come on at least try to sound like the Sweet if your going to pretend to be them
Love and kisses
