One of hard rock’s most influential guitarists and acts delivers one of the festivals most surreal and retrospectively influential performances on the main stage at Rock N America.
Founding member of the Scorpions, classic member of UFO, and of course the Michael Schenker Group proper, few guitarists and groups have had such demonstrable influence in classic and modern rock as Michael Schenker. This performance made even more unique with Carmine Appice taking the throne for percussion duties while the groups classic vocalist Gary Barden filled vocal duties.
Shooting Notes:
Shooting the legendary artists was the standard three and out in cloud cover and the setting sun. Schenker unfortunately stayed rather stoic and confined stage left behind mike stand during the first three which limited shooting angles tremendously. Still, one of those moments when you say to yourself “how did I get here?” with a three song perma-grin plastered across your face.
Photography duties fell to the Nikon D700 twins and their 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 companions.
