Complimenting the midday heat, Slaughter delivers an equally energetic set on the Rock N America main stage with cameo appearance by Motley Crue’s Vince Neil.
Having seen the band on the festival circuit the last few years, this was by far one of the more energetic performances in particular by rhythm section Dana Strum and Zoltan Chaney. Die hard fans will recognize the group as Vince Neil’s solo band in addition to their namesake. The cameo appearance by Vince Neil begs the question of touring package with both vocalists at the helm in the future?

Shooting Notes:
Shooting Slaughter in the direct midday sun on the main stage posed lots of challenges, the heat notwithstanding. Harsh direct sunlight, extreme shadows, moving cloud cover, and special guests all contributed to a very quick and challenging 3 songs exposed in the neighborhood of 1/800, F2.8, ISO200. While I could have exposed a few stops darker, doing would have lost all detail in the captures save the sun’s hotspots.
