Sugarland

Sugarland perform to the sold out hometown crowd during their headlining tour in support of the artists 5th studio album “The Incredible Machine”.

Shooting Notes:

Shooting the duo and band was the untraditional (for country) first 3. The bulk of the first being waiting for the kabuki to drop. Once dropped, media was presented with brilliant white direct light from the stage and follow spots which deviated little. The performance was shot at a rather constant 1/400 F4.0 ISO640 intentionally underexposed by about 1/2 stop to control the hotspots from the direct lighting. No formal pit exists in this venue though stays relatively clear approximately 2 feet in front of the stage. Impediments were 3 video risers on the patron floor and the constant movement of the artists during the faster paced numbers encompassing the first 3 songs.
