Progpower USA XI: Delain

Dutch Symphonic metal band Delain make their USA debut at Progpower USA XI with an impressive performance and impressive crowd response providing confirmation as one of the most anticipated and enjoyed acts of the 2010 roster.

Shooting Notes:

Lighting for the set ranged from challenging to usable to moments of glorious focusing largely on vocalist Charlotte Wessels. Most importantly the lighting treatment provided the days first hint of balance and contrast to the presentation. Amazing how much difference a small amount of effort by the LD can make in capturing a performance and pleasing a crowd. With the exception of one glorious lighting moment of ISO4000, the majority of the set was shot @ ISO5000-ISO8433.33ish 1/200 F2.8 rather admirably handled by the Nikon D700′s coupled with the Nikon 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8.
