Progpower USA XI: Hammerfall

Headlining Day 2 of Progpower USA XI, Sweden’s Hammerfall closes out the festival with a set inspired by classic Heavy Metal focusing largely on the groups newer material.

Shooting Notes:

The lightly continued its trend throughout the festival of lessened brightness and contrast perhaps saving the worse for last. While these images are legible, the lighting treatment required shutter speeds in the range of 1/80 – 1/160 F2.8 @ ISO6400-25,600 with many images pushed another two stops in post production. I believe they pushed the absolute extremes of my gear and then some for a rock show. The Nikon D700′s coupled with the Nikon 24-70 2.8 and Nikon 70-200 2.8 handled the entire set.
