Shinedown headline the Project 961 Family Reunion delivering a career high performance to appropriately end the concert season at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Atlanta Ga.
One of American Rock’s most successful acts in the last 7 years, Shinedown’s extraordinary 90 minute set featured many of the bands 14 singles from their first three albums mixed with heavier cuts and an inspiring delivery of their famed Lynyrd Skynyrd cover “Simple Man” during the groups three song encore. Having seen the band in prior tours they performed with a renewed enthusiasm and energy which brought a commensurate capacity crowd response.

Shooting Notes:
A great first three from the show headliner with an abundance of light and plenty of stage front mugging. Brent Smith was particularly gracious to the camera giving some great moments while Barry Kerch also provided some great eye contact from behind the skins. Dual (or was it quad?) follow spots at full power dominated the stage front action with exposures falling 1/400 F2.8 ISO800 in balancing wardrobe and skin tones while the edge and rear of the stage fell 1/200 F2.8 ISO3200.
