Brantley Gilbert

Georgia’s own Brantley Gilbert headlines the second stage at Willie Nelson’s Country Throwdown 2011.

Photography Notes:

First three from the pit with ambient lighting during the late afternoon light under cloud cover. Exposures boosted about a stop with a bump in contrast at the time of shooing to pop the otherwise flat natural light. Brantley’s use of a classically styled microphone kept the artist up close though he did step away during non vocal moments to interact with his band and mug a bit for the crowd. Exposures fell 1/400 F3.2 ISO 640ish.
