Celebrating 33 years of hard rock while making exceptional music pre during and post “hair metal” years, Dokken deliver a 2 hour performance spanning the groups 10 album discography covering all fan favorites and die hard deep album cuts. A true celebration filled with smiles, licks, driving rhythms, sing along ballads, head banging, and classic hard rock choruses.

Photography Notes:
Shooting Dokken’s set was the standard first three, from the non-enforced pit at the venue. Non-enforced meaning the GA floor crowd was allowed into the fixed barrier in front of the stage requiring one to be up close and personal in the tightly crowded space occupied by the most dedicated fans. In a scenario sich as this I generally start at stage right and ease my way through the crowded barrier ending at stage left while pausing for key moments such as guitar solos. Shooting as such was waiting for clean angles in the limited areas of movement or incorporating the crowd into the shots. Capture duties fell to the Nikon D700′s with the Nikon 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8. Exposures in the range of 1/200 F2.8 ISO5000. Shout back to Don whom I had the pleasure of meeting at a festival 3 years ago who always give a smile and a thumbs up when I’m in the pit.
