REO Speedwagon drummer Bryan Hitt delivers an outstanding visual performance from a kit that presented an incredible opportunity to capture the artist in the back that gets to beat on stuff for a living!
If you have followed my photography for any amount of time you are aware that I am infatuated with drummers and pride myself on
always capturing at least one publishable frame of the elusive timekeeper. This is in part due to my own failed attempts at rock stardom beating the skins and the incredible challenge of shooting the drummer in a live performance environment.
Every so often the stars align and bring a live music photographer a clean stage, good lighting, an open kit, and a drummer that gets it – even acknowledges your captures with some direct eye to lens contact. Aptly named Bryan Hitt delivers in spades during the 2012 Midwest Rock and Roll Express Tour. Thanks Bryan!
