Chevelle

Chevelle performs during the Carnival of Madness Tour at Aaron’s Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta, Ga.

Photographer Notes:

What got into Chevelle? Having seen them perform numerous times the last several years, while great musically, they always present a rather stark stage with a limited and rather stoic stage presence. For this tour, they’ve had a fire lit under their live show and presented the best set I’ve seen from them.

Shooting challenges for the set where enforced throughout the night with shooting limited to the first three songs, photographers allowed only to the house left of the ego ramp, and heavy use of cheap LED lighting which results in a flat and off color presentation. Exposures fell about 1/200 F2.8 ISO4000 +/- about one stop.
